I absolutely loved the OST for this drama, I still listen to the songs even a year down the line and they still take me right back into the series feeling all the emotions.
Ryan Zheng Ft. Sunny Lai - Four Leaf Clover

Zhou Shen - Exchange

18+ - Crow

Shi Shi Sun - A Summer Event

Ryan Zheng - Heartbeat

Wayne Liu & Chloe Zhao - Deserve IT

Wang Yun Yun - Destined

Gu Chuan is a passion-filled, vibrant young man with his whole life ahead of him - until his life is turned upside down by a sudden traffic accident. He suffers life-threatening injuries to his heart and surgeons are able to save him by giving him an emergency heart transplant.
But when he recovers, he discovers that he is no longer allowed to perform most forms of exercise. Worse still, the doctors warn him that experiencing strong emotions could also end his life prematurely. He tries to return to normal life, but the changes he must make to his lifestyle take all the fizz out of his existence. He carefully avoids anything that could raise his heart rate - even if doing so turns him into a shadow of his former self.
Things take another turn, however, when a woman named Jiang Xiao Yu comes to work at the company he and his friend set up. Jiang Xiao Yu's own back story is also tinged with sadness, she was orphaned at an early age. Regardless, she is a veritable font of positivity.
Little by little, that positivity starts to rub off on Gu Chuan - but could this bond ever turn romantic, in spite of his condition?

If you checked out my My Top 10 Dramas of 2021 post then you'll know that this drama came in at the No.1 spot, I absolutely loved this drama, I loved the cast as well as the plot, the styling and settings were really pretty. The chemistry between the leads was amazing, making them one of my favourite leading couples in a series, even the OST was amazing and fit perfectly with the story.
This was my first time watching Allen Ren in a drama and I fell in love with him straight away, I thought he was amazing as Gu Chuan and from I've seen, he's more known for doing historical dramas, so seeing him in a drama that was out of his norm made me love his acting in this show even more. I loved that we got some background to the accident that caused him to have a mechanical heart, allowing us to see how he changed after the accident, and allowing us to see how he begins to think more positively the more he's around Jiang Xiao Ning. What I did notice throughout the series was that even when he starts to become more positive, at the back of his mind he's still very glass half empty, and instead of trying to get through things with his family and friends, he feels like his problems will end up those he loves burdened in the thought that one day they will have to go on without him.
I've said before that I absolutely love Xing Fei, she's definitely my favourite Chinese actress, and as expected, I loved her as Jiang Xiao Ning. I love that even though she seems to be unlucky with many aspects of her life, she never stops thinking positively and refuses to allow any negativity to get her down. I loved the chemistry between Xing Fei and Allen Ren, it really made their onscreen relationship seem and feel real. Out of all her roles that I've watched, Xiao Ning is definitely my favourite.
I loved Wayne Liu as Xu Cheng Ran, he's our rich playboy, that at the start thinks money can get him whatever he wants, that is until he meets Zhao Yan, who makes him realise that there's more to life then how much money you have, and to prove how much he cares for her he's willing to give it all up, even when Zhao Yan gets him wrong in that his income is all from being born with a silver spoon, when in fact it's his own hard work.
I loved Chloe Zhao as Zhao Yan, she's a really strong and independent woman that has been scorned in love too many times, that she struggles to let people in, she also works in a very male dominating place, and is often put down and hit on because of that. I love the friendship she has with Xiao Ning, they're best friends but also family and if Xiao Ning needs her she'll be there and vice versa.
I thought Jun Sheng was really good as Tang Xu, he is a case of being manipulated by the wrong people, so much so, he tries to con the people that have manipulated his life, in the hopes he will get what he wants. He has a close friendship with both Xiao Ning and Zhao Yan, but he has more romantic feelings towards Xiao Ning, to the point that he forces his feelings onto her when she tells him she doesn't return his feelings.
Ge Shi Min as Su Man Lin is the typical love rival that will go to new lows to get what she wants and believes she deserves, and also becomes an ally to Tang Xu in the hopes they can get Gu Chuan and Xiao Ning apart. Starting off friendly, her jealousy makes the better of her when she starts to do anything she can to get Xiao Ning out of the company and picture. We do get to see her character grow as she starts to live her career and life for herself rather than in the hopes that one day Gu Chuan will change and fall for her, to which she tries to make amends for the things she's done wrong in the past.
I loved Lulu Xuan as Chen Wen Wen, she is Gu Chuan's ex girlfriend and the girl he saw spending the rest of his life with before his accident, after that he pushed her away. What I loved that this differs from normal dramas when the ex returns, normally it's because they still love them, but she just wants him to be happy and is often on Xiao Ning's side and wants to be someone she can rely on and talk to if she needs it.

I loved how the series ended, but I would love a mini series, to see how their relationship changed after everything that happened, I would love to see Allen Ren and Xing Fei acting together again because I loved their chemistry together.
The whole cast blended well together and I loved that there was a deeper story hidden into the series than just a romantic comedy.
It's definitely a series I will continue to recommend till I'm blue in the face.

Jason Hong - Intimacy

Sagel - I'm With U

HuanYu Ning - We Are Like This

Cong Rong has long dreamed of becoming a lawyer, but her mother is absolutely determined to see her daughter study finance abroad. Hoping that her daughter will successfully settle down somewhere overseas, Cong Rong's mother won't take "no" for an answer, Unable to convince her mother to let her pursue her dreams, Cong Rong has no choice but to do as her mother wishes. Or does she?
After successfully convincing her mother that she has set off for distant lands, Cong Rong secretly returns home to begin work as a legal intern. Taking on her first case, Cong Rong comes face-to-face with her childhood friend, Wen Shao Qing. Now a surgeon, Shao Qing isn't just Cong Rong's client, he's also her landlord and next-door neighbour. Tied together by the ever-tightening strings of fate, Cong Rong and Shao Qing find themselves drawing closer, despite their best efforts.
Engaged in a never-ending battle of wits, the childhood friends may fight against the ties that bind them, but how long will they be able to resist the inevitable?

I'd seen Viki post a little video snippet on their Facebook page and couldn't resist giving this a watch as I adore Xing Fei, she's definitely one of my favourite Chinese actresses, it also wasn't until watching the series that I realised the male lead was in fact Fu Pei from Put Your Head On My Shoulder, so it was like finally getting to see Fu Pei and Situ Mo get together.
I loved the casting, plot and script, the only thing I was gutted about was we didn't really get to see much of Zhou Cheng Cheng and Wen Rang's story, I loved seeing them on screen together and seeing the ice melt, but it seemed a small secondary story for the series.
The cast seemed to work really well together, but I guess there can only be good chemistry on set when the 2 main leads have worked together in another drama before, so they know they can be comfortable with one another with the scenes they have to bring to life.
As I've said further up Xing Fei is one of my favourite Chinese actresses, so seeing she was in this drama definitely made me want to watch it, and I loved her character, I think she brought her to life perfectly. Cong Rong is a very stubborn young woman and once she sets her mind to something, nothing will deter her from getting to the finish line. The only think she's bad at is noticing when a guy is attracted to her, like her superior Shang Guan Yi, something Wen Shao Qing notices from the get go. She's extremely independent, and knows when to ask for help, the only thing that could be seen as a negative for her personality is when she uses her heart instead of her head when it comes to Wen Shao Qing being in a legal battle, she makes her main case a 2nd priority when it comes to fighting his case.
I loved Tang Xiao Tian as Wen Shao Qing, he comes across as cold and strict but as you get to know him he's actually caring and warm hearted and only wants the best not only for himself, but also those around him and in his life, whether they're friends, family or students. You can see he is also passionate when it comes to both his job and his heart. Even when those around him are worried for him, he tries to make them focus on what's important to them and their career. Like Cong Rong, Shao Qing is also stubborn at times, and also aims to reach his goals once he's set them.
I loved U. Lin Huang as Cong Rong's best friend Zhou Cheng Cheng, you can tell they have a close friendship and see each other more as family then just friends, they both run to one another when they're in need or just need a friend to listen. Zhou Cheng Cheng I find is extremely naive when it comes to both life and love, because she comes from a rich family, she seems to find business easy, until she realises it was only made easy because of her family's financial help, help that she was unaware that she had received. I also love how both herself and Wen Rang's relationship changes over the course of the series.
I loved Leon Li as Wen Rang, he's a character that because he was scorned and got his heartbroken at a young age that, he's carried it on into his adult age, he's extremely stubborn, but is always willing to help someone in need. He and Cheng Cheng start off as enemies but as time passes we see him warming to her and opening his heart up again, something I think he struggles with as he never got to get the closure he needed from his past relationship.
I loved Fu Wei Lun as Cong Rong's cousin Zhang Zhen, he definitely added comedy to the series, the only problem was he seemed to lack confidence when it came to his job, something that Shao Qing noticed, and would work him harder to make him notice he was good at his job and would continue to be so in the future.
Liu Cheng did a great job as Cong Rong's superior Shang Guan Yi, he's hard working and never seems to switch off, even when his health begins to suffer. I think he's always believed there could be a chance for him to be in Cong Rong's heart but, she's just thankful for him as a friend and cherishes everything he's done for her, including believing in her.
For me Wang Mo Han as Xiong Jin Jin is the typical enemy turns friend, she believes Cong Rong is stuck up because of Shang Guan Yi's interest in her and doesn't believe she can do the job because of her qualifications, but as she gets to know her you see her getting closer to her, even when she jokes that their rivals. Cong Rong trusts her and learns she can lean on her for help, and Xiong Jin Jin starts thinking the same.
I think Deng Yu Li as Qin Chu did a great job in bringing her role to life, Qin Chu has been in love with Shao Qing for a long time and as they've got closer as friends, she's always wished and hoped that one day she would be more than a friend, even when she notices his feelings for Cong Rong, she never loses hope and even asks her to step aside and not allow her chance to disappear. Once Shao Qing tells her that he will always cherish her friendship, and that's how it will remain, she warms towards Cong Rong and you can see she will do anything to help the both of them.

I'll happily watch My Little Happiness again, I think the series flowed well and I wasn't left with anything left unanswered. I would though love a 2nd season to see how Cheng Cheng and Wen Rang's relationship unfolds, as well as seeing what happens with Xiong Jin Jin and Shang Guan Yi. I'd also love a 2nd season just to see all the cast together again, because they all worked so well together and you could see they all had good chemistry together.
I highly recommend this series, it's definitely one of my favourites for 2021, and I can't wait to check everyone out in other dramas.
