Today's song is an old one, but one I love listening to. I also say this every time I post about this one on my countdown, but did you know that this song was never intended to be a Christmas song to begin with?
Today's song is one of my favourites, but did you know it was never intended to be released as a Christmas song, but because of the bell it was classed as such, and is one of the songs that is not only played every year, but is also classed as one of the classic Christmas songs.
Did you know that this song was never intended and released to be a Christmas song?
But would it really be Christmas if we didn't hear this song, for me I love hearing it and can't help singing along and getting into the Christmas spirit.
December 8th: I'm back with another classic Christmas song, but did you know that when this song was released it was never intended to be a Christmas song but with the line "wish I was at home for Christmas" and the brass band arrangement made this song a perfect song to play at Christmas. With everything that's going on in the world right now with terrorism and a threat of war we could do with more songs like this. Today's song is Jona Lewie's Stop The Cavalry.
I was too tired and busy yesterday to post yesterdays song so today you get two windows opened.

First up is one of those Christmas songs that has been getting played for the past 42 years and it never gets old, it truly is a song that when it comes on you know it's Christmas.
'Oh, I wish it could be Christmas, everyday let the bells ring out for Christmas'

This song I believe wasn't orginaly released to be a Christmas song it was an anti-war song but because of the line wish I was at home for Christmas and the brass band arrangements made it appropriate to play at that time of the year and 35 years later is still played at Christmas time making it one of those Christmas classics.
