HIStory 2: Right or Wrong is a Taiwanese BL drama, Right or Wrong is the 1st instalment of the 2nd season of the HIStory franchise.
It was written by Lin Pei Yu and directed by Lee Ching Jung.
The series aired between the 30th of January 2018, and the 21st of February 2018.
It contains 8 episodes.

Main Cast:
Steven Jiang as Shi Yi Jie

The story is about a cynical father and a college student who get together after some odd circumstances arise.

Shi Yi Jie, a divorced, single man, is an associate professor at The Department of Anthropology. He has an 8-year-od daughter name Yoyo. He single-handedly raises his daughter.
After encountering Fei Sheng Zhe by accident, the three of them become a family.

I've become a big fan of the HIStory franchise, and I love meeting the new characters and seeing each of the stories for each series. Right or Wrong was no different for me, while for some the story of student and teacher starting to have feelings for each other is a bit of a no-no, I think it shows that love can happen anywhere and with anyone.
I really enjoyed watching Steven Jiang as Shi Yi Jie, for me it seemed that because of his marriage breakdown, that lead to divorce, he's a little hard-faced and likes thing done his own way. I think while he loves and adores his daughter, it seems at time she takes a back seat, that's until she gets a new babysitter.
I absolutely adored Hunt Chang as Fei Sheng Zhe, he's your typical college student, having fun and eager to make money, which leads to him taking on the job of babysitting for Shi Yi Jie. The more he gets to know him, the more he feels comfortable around him, leading for him to have romantic feelings towards him.
I personally thought the relationship between Shi Yi Jie and Fei Shang Zhe grew at a good pace, I didn't feel that it was rushed in any way. I'd happily watch this one again as I thought it was such a cute and easy to watch story.

HIStory 1: Obsessed is a 2017, Taiwanese BL drama and the 3rd and final instalment in the HIStory 1 series.
HIStory 1: Obsessed was directed by Adiamond Lee.
Obsessed has 4 episodes and aired from the 28th of February, concluding on the 3rd of March 2017.

Main Cast:
Benard He as Jiang Jin Teng

Teddy Ren as Shao Yi Chen

Shao Yi Chen, a man who dies in an accident following a scuffle with his boyfriend Jiang Jin Teng, is reborn and sent back 9 year. To save his future self, he avoids Jin Teng and his feelings for him.
Yi Chen proceeds to destroy his diary, here he writes his long-time feelings for him. Jin Teng discovers a few pages, and develops a growing curiosity about Yi Chen which he cannot explain.
Yi Chen himself realises that he can't resist Jin Teng, no matter how many times he tries to not fall for him again.

I have to be honest and say out of the 3 drama's part of HIStory 1, I have to say that Obsessed is my least favourite of the 3. While I thought the plot was a good concept and the actors were amazing in their roles. I couldn't help but think that the main leads relationship seemed toxic and manipulative. It's also seems to be the typical people who come from money have to marry those with the same background which is what leads to Yi Chen's death at the start of the show.
I thought Bernard He did a great job as Jiang Jin Teng, I can't help but wonder though if the aggression he had to show as his character made him feel uncomfortable. Jin Teng at first seems very aggressive, forceful and manipulative in his pursuit of Yi Chen, but by the end he seems to have mellowed out as he realises power doesn't make a relationship.
Teddy Ren did amazing as Yi Chen, he made me feel all the emotions he was feeling in his role and I think he really highlights how no matter how much you love someone, it's sometimes hard to try and get out of a bad relationship. Yi Chen to me seemed like someone that didn't have much confidence in himself, and it really showed throughout the episodes.

Like My Hero and Stay Away From Me, Obsessed is a short series, that gives us a new story with new characters, that go through their own inner battles and feelings. Even though it's not my favourite, I'd still say to give it a watch to see how good the actors are.

Taiwanese Drama - HIStory 1: Stay Away From Me

HIStory 1: Stay Away From Me is a 2017, Taiwanese BL drama and the 2nd instalment in both the History 1 series and the HIStory series as a whole.
HIStory 1: Stay Away From Me was directed by Ishtar Tsai.
Stay Away From Me has 4 episodes and aired from the 21st of February, concluding on the 24th of February 2017.

Cast:
Duke Wu as Cheng Ching
Google Images

Edison Song as Feng He
Google Images

Chiao Man Ting as Meng Meng
Google Images

When their parents get married and leave for a long honeymoon, superstar Cheng Ching moves in with his new stepbrother Feng He.
With Cheng Ching on the brink of falling out of college, their parents entrust Feng He to tutor him.
Meng Meng, Feng He's fujoshi best friend, starts dreaming of the perfect BL fanfic and tries to push the two together, but will Feng He be able to stay away from his brother?

I was a little unsure with this series, and it took me a little longer to like the characters and plot, the cast on the other hand I fell in love with straight away. This series seems to focus on your typical don't get along at first, but the more they spend together, the more their opinions of one another and feelings for one another changes. Even though this is a common plot for most dramas, the cast did an amazing job bringing it to the screen.
I spent a lot of time trying to figure out why I recognised Duke Wu and it's because I'd watched him in the Taiwanese drama Miss in Kiss, so I thought it was nice to be able to see him in a completely different role and especially in a BL drama. It seems that Cheng Ching is your "typical" arrogant celebrity that puts on a false persona when in front of fans and doesn't really seem to care whether he fails college or not, until he spends more time with his stepbrother and sees the hard work he puts in himself, making him wanting to better himself in his private life as well as his public image. Cheng Ching seems to accept his feelings straight away and it shows that he actually wears his heart on his sleeve when Feng He seems to reject him.
Edison Song did a great job as Feng He, you can feel his annoyance with having to be responsible for someone else as well as someone who doesn't seem interested. The more the spend time together the more you see Feng He warm to him, you can tell he struggles with the fact that he's having romantic feelings towards his stepbrother and is often seen reminding both himself and Cheng Ching that they are brothers and their parents are married. Feng He seems to be really naive at times, but still takes things head on.
I applaud Chiao Man Ting as Meng Meng, she portrays practically every female BL fan perfectly, the only thing I didn't agree with was when she wrote a love letter to Cheng Ching on Feng He's behalf, I'm all for friends trying to help their friends accept and act on their feelings but not to the point that it makes them uncomfortable and not to the point of hurting others in the process.

Like HIStory 1: My hero, HIStoy 1: Stay Away From Me is a short and sweet series, that gives us a new story and new characters, that go through their own inner battles about their feelings. While it's not my favourite from the HIStory 1 series, I'd still recommend it as the cast did an amazing job.

Taiwanese Drama - HIStory 1: My Hero

 Hello

HIStory 1: My Hero is a Taiwanese BL drama and is the first instalment of both the HIStory series, and HIStory 1.
HIStory 1: My Hero is written by Yang Yi Hua and directed by Tang Yi.
The series aired from the 14th until the 17th of February 2017, containing 4 episodes.

Cast:
Aaron Lai as Mai Ying Hsiung aka Hero
Google Images

Chiang Yun Lin as Ku Ssu Jen
Google Images

Patricia Lin as Lan Hsi
Google Images

Lin He Xuan as Pai Chang Chang
Google Images

Cason Mian as Ya Chin

During a mission to collect the soul of college student Ku Ssu Jen, whose time on earth is dwindling, Grim Reaper Pai Chang Chang accidently captures Lan Hsi's soul instead, killing her.
To avoid punishment by the God's, Pai Chang Chang tries to find a way to help Lan Hsi return to earth, but her body is cremated, rendering her unable to return to her original body.
In a rage, Lan Hsi's soul takes over Ku Ssu Jen's body. She uses this opportunity to try and get back her boyfriend Mai Ying Hsuing aka Hero, but she only has seven days for her boyfriend to fall in love with her new body, otherwise her soul, and Ku Ssu Jen, will die.

I absolutely adored HIStory 3: Trapped and I said in my post that I was nervous to start the other series' because I loved watching the cast and I was scared I wouldn't click with the others as well. I was slightly sceptical at first because I thought the plot was really odd, but the more I watched, the more I could see how the story was developing, how the characters relationships were changing.
The more I watched the more, I fell in love with the cast, it really came across on screen that they were comfortable and enjoyed working together.
I thought Aaron Lai did a great job as Mai Ying Hsiung aka Hero, through the series we get to see that there's more to him than what we first see, especially when it comes to his relationships with both Lan Hsi and Ku Ssu Jen.
I loved Chiang Yun Lin as Ku Ssu Jen, he really added the comedy to this short series, watching him pretend he was male for the first time in his life was hilarious, especially the needing to pee and the morning wood.
As the only female, I think Patricia Lin did great as Lan Hsi, I think out of all the characters, she's the one that has the most growth, as she gets to know Hero again as Ku Ssu Jen, she realises that their friendship and relationship runs deeper than she first thought, and realises it's best for her to fail in her mission.
While Lin He Xuan only pops up now and again as Pai Chang Chang, like Ku Ssu Jen he adds some comedy to the series and as the series concludes, I couldn't help but wonder if he knew all along that it would be the outcome that we see.

Google Images

It's a really short and sweet series, and I'm glad I finally decided to sit and watch it, while it's not my favourite, it really stands on it's own with a fun and unique plot with an amazing cast.

Taiwanese Drama - The Victims' Game

The Victims' Game is a Taiwanese Netflix Original thriller series directed by David Chuang and Allen Chen. The series was released on the 30th of April 2020 and contains 8 episodes.

Cast:
Joseph Chang as Fang Yi-Jen
Google Images

Ann Hsu as Hsu Hai-Yin
Google Images

Jason Wang as Chao Cheng-Kuan
Google Images

Ruby Lin as Li Ya-Jun
Google Images

River Huang as Yu Cheng-Hao
Google Images

Moon Lee as Chiang Hsiao-Meng
Google Images

Ning Ding as Su Ke-Yun

Rexen Cheng as Zhunag Bing-Yao

Chen Chia-Kuei as Zhang Cong-Jian
Google Images

Joseph Hsia as Xia Jing-Ting
Google Images

Nian Xian Ma as Hui Zi

Chang Tsai-Hsing as Xiao Liao
Google Images

Diane Lin as Chen Yu-Xuan
Google Images

Hong Sheng De as Sun Yong-Zhen

In September 2020, it was announced that the series was getting a 2nd season, and it's scheduled for release in 2022.

I'll now share with you some of the songs I like from the OST.
Karencici - One Who Will (Find Me)

Nauledge Huang - No Regrets

After discovering his estranged daughters link to mysterious murders, a forensic detective with Asperger's Syndrome risks everything to solve the case.

I'm a big fan of the horror, thriller and suspense genre's with both films and drama's, so when this appeared on Netflix I couldn't help but add it to my viewing list and give it a watch.
I was expecting it to have me on edge, holding my breath and in suspense on if they case would be solved, while in reality it was all those things, this drama has a more deeper meaning to it, which by the end of the series had me applauding and crying. Without giving too much away about this drama, all I will say is nothing is what it seems.
The casting for me was top notch, Joseph Chang as Fang Yi-Jen has to be my favourite from this drama, without even knowing any of his past works, you can see he gives his roles his all and pulls them off extremely well. I couldn't help feel sorry for Fang Yi-Jen as everyone looked at him as he was a freak, just because he's different from everyone else.
I thought Ann Hsu did an amazing job in her role as Hsu Hai-Yin, the series starts off with her being hard-faced and only out to get a good story, but as more unfolds, we get to see her past and how these murders affect her in her personal life and we even get to see her grow in her personal life as well as her career as a reporter.
Ruby Lin had me on edge as her character Li Ya-Jun, she has a warped idea of justice, and believes what she is doing is right and should be praised, I definitely think a switch is triggered in her mental state, but there are people around that will agree with her motives and applaud her for her style of justice.
If I'm not mistaken Moon Lee is a new and upcoming actress and to take a roll like Chiang Hsiao-Meng proves that she's not scared of the roles she takes, I personally think she's brave for taking on such a roll as her role is dark and upsetting, but I think it's something that needs to be seen as there are many children, teenagers, young adults that feel the way she does about her family and circumstances, she's definitely not had it easy.
While I've only mentioned 4 of the actors from this cast, I'm in no way saying they are ones worth talking about, they're just the ones that made more of an impact on me. Each cast member and Victim has a different story and background, they all want to be remembered for different things and some will go to any lengths to get what they want.

I sincerely recommend watching this drama, it has everything you want from a thriller and suspense drama and so much more.
