As expected, I have both versions of the album, I love the photo books for both version and from cover to cover, they're both aesthetically pleasing. I love the colours used for both, especially the album covers, they're stunning.
The album itself is amazing for me, it's on par with Part 4. Dann, with both the albums photo books, as well as the songs on the album, from start to finish is amazing for the senses.
I love that they always start with an intro track and Intro: Stigma (烙印) definitely has to be one of my favourites. It gives me historical drama feels.
Intro: Stigma (烙印)
I love the melody for 혼 (魂; Dystopia), from the snippets of the track we got in the teasers, I knew I was going to love this song, and I wasn't wrong. It's definitely up there as one of my favourite title tracks from KINGDOM.
혼 (魂; Dystopia)
I absolutely love 바람의 노래 (Song of the Wind), the melody and the vocals are stunning. When I first listened to it, it gave me Howls Moving Castle vibes, it's definitely one of my favourite tracks on this album as well as one of my favourite KINGDOM b-sides.
바람의 노래 (Song of the Wind)
I love the change up that Elements brings from the previous tracks. I will admit the lyrics did make me laugh as it seems to me they were trying to get some of the lyrics to rhyme. Sometimes I can't help but wonder where they pull the lyrics from and what made them think to use them. It's still a catchy song that you can't help but sing along, especially with the chorus.
Elements
There's something about they way KINGDOM bring together the melody and vocals to their songs, and My Wave always gives me goosebumps. The vocals, the raps, all of it stands out. It gives me We Are vibes. This is one of those songs that you just know would be amazing live.
My Wave
Love is Pain is right up there as one of my favourite b-sides from KINGDOM, as well as one of my favourite tracks on this album. Each member stands out perfectly on this track, but I especially love Jahan's voice on this track.
Love is Pain
KINGDOM took part in a survival show called Peak Time, that brought rookie groups against veteran group that were inactive or had disbanded, to try and help raise their popularity. I was excited to see KINGDOM was taking part and while I was gutted they were eliminated straight away, I could see the judges reasoning for why. I feel that GF did them dirty, in that they made them stick to their concept, when they've shown that they are so much more than that, especially it was said to show the judges who they were away from their group names etc. It could have really shown how versatile they are as a group and helped them gain more fans. All that being said I'm glad they showed that the elimination wouldn't get the better of them and released this album.
It's nearly been 6 months since they released this album, so I'm hoping we're not waiting too long for Jahan's album. I can't wait to see what his album brings us and what will come after.
