Cooking: Lasagne

Hello
An nyeoung
Konnichiwa
Ni hao

I've not done a cooking post since the start of October so I think it's about time I put another one up and this one is one of Skye's favourite meals: Lasagne. When I first decided to try and cook a Lasagne I expected it to be really difficult, it's one of those recipes that when you look at the end product it looks like it will be difficult but when you come to actually making it, it's pretty easy and straight forward although my Lasagne's have never come out all as one with layer upon layer, so shall we start cooking?

Ingredients:
750g Mince beef
450g Chopped onions
300g Closed cup mushrooms
1 Carrot
1 Courgette
750g Red lasagne sauce
750g White lasagne sauce
2 Packets fresh egg lasagne sheets
250g Grated medium cheddar
250g Grated mozzarella
Olive oil
*all ingredients bought from Tesco's*

Preheat the oven to 180 for fan assisted, 200, Gas 5
I started off by browning my mince beef.

While the mince was cooking I started chopping my carrot, courgette and mushrooms (I cheated with the onion and bought ready chopped).

Once the mince was done I added some olive oil to a large pan and added the chopped onions and cooked on a medium to high heat.

Once ready I added the chopped carrot, courgette and mushrooms and cooked for 3-5 minutes.

Then I added the mince beef and gave it a stir.

Next I added the red lasagne sauce and mixed herbs and gave it a stir.

Next I got a large deep dish ready and spooned in a layer of the mince beef mixture.

Then I layered on 4 lasagne sheets on top of the mixture (add the number of lasagne sheets you need for your dish).

Next I poured some of the white lasagne sauce over the top of the sheets and smoothed it out.

Then I sprinkled 2 handfuls of the grated medium cheddar and 1 handful of the grated mozzarella.

Complete this process till either your dish is full or your out of ingredients, you should finish with a final layer of the mince beef mixture and then I used 2 handfuls of grated mozzarella and 1 handful of the medium cheddar sprinkled on the top.

I got 3 layers of meat and veg and 2 layers of lasagne sheets and white sauce.

Now the lasagne is ready to go in the oven for 30 minutes.

Once ready allow to sit for a minute.

Then serve.

I hope you enjoy cooking and eating my lasagne recipe that I have shared with you.

See you soon!

Halloween Week Special: Planning a Halloween Party

Hello

It's never easy planning a party no matter the occasion but this is my first year planning a Halloween party, I say party it's more of a small gathering of friends. My fancy dress outfit is ready minus a white blouse I need but I'll reveal that later in the week. While even though the plans for my gathering isn't fully completed I'd like to share a few ideas with you that I found online that you may find helpful if your planning your own Halloween party.

Google images
Food
Fruit kebabs
Jack Skellington chocolate apples
These were a few ideas I saw when searching for ideas for party food although I can't remember all the sites I found them on, I'm sure if you searched any of them they would appear. You could even make your own recipe's to what I've listed.

Drink
*symbolises non-alcoholic and can be made non-alcoholic.
With having a mixed guest list I've definitely had to think about what drinks I can put on offer and suitable for both adults and children.

Party Ideas
Pumpkin carving
Decorating witches hats
Paper plate decorating
Create spells
Pin the hat on the witch
Kid friendly Halloween quiz
Apple bobbing
Pictionary

My only problem I'm having with preparing for this party is decorations as I have a friend that is petrified of spiders, I'm scared of them too but fake spider decorations don't bother me as much, so I'm finding it difficult finding things that I like to put up around the house. I love Halloween and can't wait to have fun on Saturday.

Are you having a Halloween party?
Have any ideas to share with me?
Comment them below.
See you soon!
