Mr. Heart is a follow-up series project to the popular BL drama "Where Your Eyes Linger."

Despite the fact that things just never seem to go his way, Sang Ha always manages to find a reason to smile. A member of the school track team, Sang Ha loves to run, but distance has never really been his thing. For Sang Ha, sprinting is what brings him the most joy.
Jin Won, on the other hand, is exactly the opposite. A record breaking marathon runner in high school, Jin Won is well on his way to becoming a marathon superstar. Determined to live upto the expectations of  his coaches and colleagues, Jin Won cares about one thing and one thing only; running his next race.
When Jin Won finds himself struggling to maintain his record-breaking stats, his coach suggests Sang Ha step into help as a pacemaker. Disappointed in the coach's decision, Jin Won is anything but friendly to his new partner but with time and determination, the two runners come to find they share a similar passion, both on the track and off.
As the two become closer, they begin to realise their feelings for each other have taken an unexpected turn.
But can they move from friend to friendlier without risking everything they've worked so hard to achieve?

I'm a sucker for BL dramas as you may have guessed from past posts and like all the others, I absolutely loved this drama, it was short and sweet, I wish the episodes were longer or the series had more episodes.
I thought the casting was really good, I enjoyed the plot, but at times it did seem rushed and had lots going off at the same time, which is why I think it deserved to be a longer series.
I absolutely loved Lee Se Jin as Gong Sang Ha his character is really adorable and never failed to make me smile. He never gives up and always tries to push those around him to do their best, the only time you see him lose faith within himself, is when he is conflicted on what he should do.
I think Cheon Seung Ho was the perfect actor to play Jin Won, Jin Won seems to thrive on determination and setting new goals is what keeps him fighting, that is until he meets Sang Ha. Jin Won seems to be trying his hardest to understand his feelings, something he's obviously never felt before. He has a cold exterior but once he gets to knows people he allows them to see his softer side.
As I have said above, I adore this series but I wish it was longer so their growth as characters could be seen a lot more, and how their relationship developed over time. It would have been nice to get a better back story for both the male leads, especially Sang Ha, as I think the storyline with the loan shark could have been told better, it seemed there was so much happening but we didn't really get to see how and why properly.

I really wish we could get a 2nd season to see how they've changed and how their relationship has grown and possibly see a longer plot.
I love that more idols are doing BL dramas as I think it's a big risk for them as same sex relationships still isn't something fully accepted in South Korea but, I love that they're taking these small steps to change that.

Where You Eyes Linger Trailer

Like many drama's I've seen this has an OST that takes me right back into the series.
THE MAN BLK - YOU

Keum Jo - Light

RUNY - Looking At You (널보면)

Heo Jung - See U

Han Tae Joo is an 18-year-old high school student and is the sole heir of the TB Group - a family-run business conglomerate.
His strict parents keep him under surveillance 24 hours a day, and he feels both bored and oppressed by their reluctance to let him enjoy s little freedom.
His closest friend is also his unofficial bodyguard - another 18-year-old male student named Gang Gook, Gang Gook is something of a tough guy, with a powerful physique and a no-nonsense attitude.
But as the two young men grow older, they come to wonder if there is perhaps another dimension to their friendship.
When an outgoing female student named Hye Mi is transferred to their high school, she inadvertently drives up the romantic tension between the two childhood friends by going on a date with Gang Gook - irking Han Tae Joo, and stirring up long-suppressed emotions.
Will they act on their desires, or will Han Tae Joo and Gang Gook's friendship remain platonic?

I think I saw a little snippet of this drama on Viki's facebook page and with my guilty pleasure being Boys Love aka BL, I knew I had to give it a watch. This is a really short and sweet drama, with the episodes being between 10 and 15 minutes long. I'd love to see a 2nd season for this drama to see how things are progressing for all the characters. The cast did an amazing job, they kept all matters serious, while adding snippets of comedy to keep it light and at times heart warming. Behind the scenes, I think they did amazing with the casting, as well as the script and directing, not once were I left confused or uncomfortable, I really applaud everyone involved.
I want to applaud Han Gi Chan, he's a rookie in the entertainment industry and for me, for him to take on a main role in a BL drama, is very brave, as many Asian countries, including South Korea still seem to be against same sex relationships. He was amazing in his role, I honestly wouldn't think that this was his first role, I fell in love with him and his character, he really brought a cuteness to the series, while his character seems to know what he's talking about he still has an air of naivety, and innocence about him. There were times I felt he knew about Gang Gook's feelings for him and played upon them, but I also think he believes he was just having fun with his friend and was confused by his own feelings - were they feelings of love for a friend or more.
It wasn't till I concluded the drama that I realised I'd watched Jang Eui Soo before in He Is Psychometric, his character in Where Your Eyes Linger is completely different, Gang Gook seems to be more reserved and guarded. From the first episode I got the feeling that he had been in love and had feelings for Han Tae Joo for a long time and was trying to hide it. I often felt sorry for him as his feelings were often played with, by the person he cherishes most.
I think Choi Kyu Ri often added to the comedy as Choi Hye Mi, at times I think she knew how the two friends felt about one another, and while she genuinely liked Gang Gook, I think she also tried to date him to test Han Tae Joo.
I was half and half with Jeon Jae Young's character Kim Pil Hyun, just because, he only seemed to want to be friends with them all for it to gain something for him. I don't think it's till the end that his views on his friendships change, which shows growth for his character.
Lastly I want to mention Jung Seo In that played Hye Mi's mother, I can't help but think she's there to represent all the viewers that are BL fans, she made me laugh and smile so many times.

If you're a BL or romance drama fan, then I really recommend this drama, it won't take much time out of your day or even evening. It's a well written drama with amazing cast, telling the story of how things can change for childhood friends.
