Cosplay: Highschool Of The Dead

Think it's time for another Cosplay post and this one is based on the manga and anime Highschool Of The Dead. This outfit I ordered from eBay and was able to custom order it to my size, it was originally order for a friend's Halloween party on which I dyed my hair pink for it too.

The first time I wore it I based it on the character Saya Takagi and for the recent pictures even though like my Musubi Cosplay my hair is not the same I based it on Rei Miyamoto. Let's step into the world where the dead walk and you have to fight to survive.

I love that I could wear the skirt as an everyday pleated skirt, I'd love to cosplay a few of the other outfits from the show as I love both Rei Miyamoto and Saeko Busujima's second outfits that they gear up in. I'm looking into other characters to cosplay, I'm hoping to at some point I can cosplay Lisanna from Fairy Tail but please leave thoughts on who you would like me to cosplay as.

Cosplay: Musubi

What is Cosplay? I hear you ask, well Cosplay is a play on words and is the shortened version of Costume Play. Many people think it's strange and it's popular at things like comic con, but there are professional cosplayers out there at places like Disneyland and people that appear professionally at comic cons (mainly anime conventions). Many people do it as they enjoy making and showing off the creations they male from their favourite shows. My first Cosplay experience was for my birthday 2 years ago when I went out dressed as my favourite character from Sekirei; Musubi. I ordered my outfit from an online cosplay store called EZCOSPLAY. 

You get the option of ordering a certain size or having it custom sized for your shape. Even though I got loads of strange looks I loved being in my outfit, when I originally wore this outfit I was a brunette like Musubi but now being blonde it's not 100% accurate. Would you like to meet Musubi?

I can't  describe how much I love this outfit, it makes me feel powerful, sexy, cute and girly, I think the whole point of cosplay or even fancy dress is to be able to live a few hours being someone else and forgetting your own troubles.

No Deidara art is dressing up creating an illusion

Okay so I'm new to this blog business and seeing my friend and her sister's blogs has made me want to lose my blog virginity if you will, and to start off with is my love and obsession of dressing up Cosplay etc (not so much at the moment).

I've lost count of how many outfits I have and if I could go out every night in fancy dress I bloody well would. This year I went out for my birthday as an anime character called Musubi, she's from Sekirei and some random guy (because I had no interest in talking to him) started going on about how I shouldn't be dressed like her because I wasn't like her in my personality. LIKE WHATEVER. Isn't the whole point in cosplay, fancy dress etc being able to dress up as people that you think are amazing and to for one day/night be someone other than yourself and forget whatever troubles you may have.
