Cook restaurant quality meals!
Each box comes with 4 recipe kits and 4 step-by-step recipe cards.
Following the recipes, you combine the kits with 4-6 items from your fridge or cupboard.
Then in just 20 minutes  you'll be enjoying a delicious meal for 2-4 people.

First I cooked from this box was the Chicken & Mushrooms Risotto. In this kit you get Porcini Crumb, Risotto Stock and White Wine Reduction.

Heat the oven to 200C/180C Fan/Gas Mark 6 and boil a full kettle.

Get prepped.
Cook the onion, in a covered a lidded pan for 5 minutes.
Drizzle a little oil over the chicken and cover with the Porcini Crumb.
Mix 800ml boiling water with the Risotto stock in a jug, and put to one side.

Get the mushrooms and chicken on.

While the mushrooms and chicken cook, start cooking your risotto.

Mix in the mushrooms and Parsley.

Serve!

I thought this was really nice, the risotto was really creamy and full of flavour, the crumb on the chicken was also really nice.
I'd happily add this to a box again and have it regularly, it's a really quick and filling dish to make.

The 2nd dish I cooked from this box was the Paella. In this kit you get Paella Garnish, Saffron Seasoning and Paella Paste.

Start the base.

Add the rice.

Add the prawns.

Serve!

I've never cooked Paella before, so definitely thought this would be a good place to start, and it definitely won't be the last time that I cook it.
Skye doesn't like fish or seafood, so I tried to make sure she only got chicken in hers, but I thought it was delicious, all the flavours were amazing and it was really filling.
One of the reasons why I've never cooked Paella, is because of how difficult it looks with all the ingredients, but this was really easy and simple to follow.

The third dish made from this box was the Beef Massaman. In this kit you get Massaman Paste, Ginger Chicken Stock and Tamarind.

Cook the rice and potatoes.

Sear the beef.

Create the curry base.

Add the vegetables.

Serve!

For me this was more watery than I would have liked it to be, the flavours were nice, so I would like to give this dish another try, to see if I could make a thicker and creamier sauce.

The fourth and final dish made from this box was the Cajun Sweet Potato Bake. In this Kit you get Cajun Seasoning, Red Pepper Stock and Southern Hot Sauce.

Heat the oven to 200C/180C Fan/Gas Mark 6.
Make the mash.

Fry the veg.
Add the Cajun flavours.

Bake the pie.

Serve!

I was half and half with this dish, I thought the feta and the sweet potato mash was nice, but I wasn't as fussed with all the veg, some tasted really nice and some just wasn't for me. Also as expected Skye wasn't a fan at all, it was literally a dish full of things she doesn't like.

Now let me get to the business side of the Simply Cook boxes, each box comes with 4 recipe kits which include 3 pots of sauces, herb, stock etc, as well as 4 step-by-step recipe cards, that contain the full list of ingredients you'll need, and alternatives etc.
