Each box comes with 4 recipe kits and 4 step-by-step recipe cards.
Following the recipes, you combine the kits with 4-6 items from your fridge or cupboard.
Then in just 20 minutes you'll be enjoying a delicious meal for 2-4 people.
First cooked from this box we have the Cod & Chorizo Hash. In this kit, you get Fish Rub, Saffron Aioli Mix and Potato Hash Seasoning.
Heat the oven to 200C/180C Fan/Gas Mark 6
Prepare the cod.
Fry the potatoes.
Add the Mediterranean flavours.
Serve!
It's been a while since we tried this, so I feel I need to get it again to give it a try. I remember the chorizo and potatoes being nice and the cod fell apart it was so good. The flavours really worked well together. Skye isn't a fan of fish so as you could guess, she wasn't really a fan, although she did eat all her chorizo.
Next from this box I cooked the Moghul Chicken Korma, In this kit, you get Korma Curry Paste, Coconut & Garlic Puree and Korma Spice Garnish.
Get the onion and rice on.
Cook the chicken.
Add the almonds and cream.
Serve!
This is a favourite for me and Skye, we've had it quite a few times since we first had it. It's full of flavour and may I add I personally think it's better than what you can get from some take away's, it also works out cheaper too.
Last from this box I cooked the Thai Red Prawn Curry. In this kit, you get Garlic Paste, Thai Red Paste and Thai Red Garnish.
Make some rice.
Start the curry base.
Add the veg.
Serve!
While I did like this dish, I definitely think that next time I'll cook down the sauce a bit more as it was just too runny, I'd love a more thicker sauce. Skye yet again wasn't a fan, but I never take it as a failure, I like to try her with dishes 2 or 3 times before allowing her to fully decide that she doesn't like something.
Now let me get to the business side of the Simply Cook boxes, each box comes with 4 recipe kits which include 3 pots of sauces, herb, stock etc, as well as 4 step-by-step recipe cards, that contain the full list of ingredients you'll need, and alternatives etc.
