When night falls on the city, shadows and spirits come alive in this horror anthology series centred on urban legends.
Episode 1: Crack
With the top-ranking student gone, Park Seo-Hui should be a shoo-in for the top spot. But competition never dies, and neither does guilt.
Episode 2: Destination
In the middle of the night, a taxi driver picks up a woman on an empty street. By the time he arrives at her destination, she's nowhere to be seen.
Episode 3: Special Guest
Sae-Rom livestreams a virtual housewarming party with a spooky surprise for her viewers. But when the camera turns off, the real host takes over.
Episode 4: Curiosity
No matter how much she tries, she can't outrun a creature on the prowl. No matter how long she runs, she can't escape the dark walls of the school.
Episode 5: Red Shoes
A classmate's death spurs rumours for some and guilt for one. When an overwhelmed pupil asks to meet, teacher and student come together half-way.
Episode 6: Dimension
Dying to get to the bottom of an inexplicable case, a detective follows instructions written by a missing boy and experiences a new dimension.
Episode 7: Threshold
Hak-Su's wife reminds him to leave the talisman hanging above their bedroom door. But one lone night, he decides to test his luck and it's powers.
Episode 8: Birth
After a shaman practices forbidden black magic, the spirits punish her by haunting her soul, overtaking her body and delivering a little terror.

While I did enjoy this little drama, I was often left confused as I didn't understand what was going on as there was no explanation to what the urban legends were, I think this would have been better if at the end of each episode there was a little explanation of the urban legend of that episode, especially for international viewers. I think if they had put it up at the end of each episode, it would have had more of an impact and been a bit more chilling.
I won't deny that the first episode did actually make me scream and cover my eyes, which is a rare thing for me especially when it comes to horror, but for me there was no more of that in the other episodes.
Each episode seems to be a stand alone story, with some cast members reappearing, but on reading some reviews, I have seen one that says if you watch them in the descending order the episodes seem to link together and explain more about what was happening.
The cast were top notch for me, I believed they were scared and I believed everyone of their actions, for such short roles and episodes they did a great job.

There is a lot of mixed reviews for Goedam, but I think it's a series that you have to watch for yourself to make up your own mind.
