I often cook pasta bakes but this was the first time I'd actually cooked a tuna pasta bake and like all pasta bakes it's pretty easy and simple to make.
Lets get cooking!

Ingredients:
250 g dried elbow macaroni
375 g canned tuna in oil, drained and flaked
1 small red onion, grated
2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
200 g cheddar cheese, grated
1 large egg, beaten
225 ml single cream
1/4 tsp nutmeg
salt & pepper

Start off by pre-heating the oven to 220C/425F/Gas Mark 7 and place a baking sheet on the middle shelf to heat. Then cook your Macaroni according to the packet instructions and drain.
Place the cooked macaroni into an ovenproof dish.

Next add the tuna and mix together.

Add the parsley and grated onion and give another mix together.

Next add half of the cheese.

Next in a bowl or jug beat together the egg with the cream, nutmeg, salt and pepper.

Pour the mixture over the macaroni mixture and then sprinkle with the remaining cheese. Place the dish on the preheated baking sheet in the oven and bake for around 15 minutes, or until golden brown and bubbling.

Once baked, you're ready to serve however you like.

Skye wasn't too fussed when I made this, she's not a fan of tuna. I'm still undecided on whether I'd make this again as I did enjoy it but I think it will take some getting used to having warmed up tuna, but overall it was a tasty dish, but I'm still on the fence at the moment as to whether this would be a regular dish for meal times. I guess it's just all down to personal preferences, It was really easy and simple to make and didn't take too long to prepare or make. So if this is a dish for you it's a perfect family meal.

See you soon!
