Reading Challenge 2026!

A little later than usual, it's time to set myself my reading challenge foe the year.

Last year I set myself the challenge of 7 books, and when I say I failed miserably, I'd say it was an understatement as while I did read some books, it wasn't until December, keeping myself up for night shifts and then they were only volumes of a webtoon manhwa.

This year I'm going to push myself again, and I've challenged myself to read 9 books, included are some books that I had already started reading.

This years books include Volume 1 of Mo Xiang Tong Xiu's The Scum Villain's Self Saving System, Volume 1 of Hybe's Dark Moon: The Blood Altar, Volume 2 of of Haro Aso's Alice in Borderland, Volume 7 of Mo Xiang Tong Xiu's Heaven Official's Blessing, Volume 1 of 945's The Dangerous Convenience Store, Robert Galbraith's The Running Grave and Robert Galbraith's The Hallmarked Man.

Now let's get into last years books. Let's have a look at the books I read in my challenge last year.

My first book was Volume 1 of BJ Alex by Mingwa. I'm a big fan of this webtoon manhwa, I've reread it so many times.

Volume 1 introduces the main characters to us and how they become to be entangled with one another.

My second book was Volume 2 pf BJ Alex by Mingwa.

Volume 2 follows the business deal Jiwon has with Donggyun to help give him content for his broadcasting show as BJ Alex. We see Donggyun's friend Chanwoo explain that he has more of a say in this deal than what he believes making Donggyun stand up for himself a little more. We also see the introduction to Myungdae also known as BJ MD.

My third book was Volume 3 of BJ Alex by Mingwa.

Volume 3 we get to see some jealousy from Jiwon, when he thinks MD has set his sights on Donggyun to be his new partner for his own broadcasting show. We also get to see the start of MD's interest in Chanwoo.

My fourth and final book was Volume 4 of BJ Alex by Mingwa.

Volume 4 we see Jiwon trying to put some distance between himself and Donggyun as he begins to suspects there's more to Donggyun's feelings for him than he likes. We also get a snippet into why Jiwon is the way he is when it comes to relationships and love. This volume for me has one of the worst and most 2nd hand embarrassing parts of a story that I've ever read, I cringe every time I read this part.

So there we have it, that was my reading challenge results of 2025, and now it's time to into 2026's challenge.
