I can't remember how I came across this recipe, but I'm sure it will have been while I was hunting for something to make with what we already had at home.

Let's get cooking!

Ingredients:
1 pint whole milk
650 ml vegetable stock
1 tbsp garlic granules
3 sprigs thyme
3 garlic cloves
2 tbsp English mustard
2 bay leaves
400g fusilli
150g grated cheddar
1 garlic baguette
100g grated mozzarella

Add the milk, stock, garlic granules, thyme, whole unpeeled garlic cloves and mustard to a blender. Blend until smooth. My blender was a little too full and I ended up with some of the mixture over my worktop as it all seemed to explode out.

Next add the pasta to a large pan and strain the milk mixture into the pan with the pasta.

Add the bay leaves and season with salt and black pepper.
Turn the heat up to medium-high, bring to the boil, the reduce the heat to medium. Cook the pasta, stirring occasionally, until the pasta is al dente and the sauce has thickened.

Next turn on the grill to high and grate your cheddar.
Tear or cut the baguette into bite-sized chunks.

Once your pasta is cooked, stir through the cheddar .

Scatter over the mozzarella and baguette chunks.
Place under the grill until golden and crispy.

The you're ready to serve

I left mine under the grill too long as my garlic bread was burnt, but all the flavours were there. It was really delicious.
The recipe was really easy to follow and it was really quick to make. It's the perfect recipe for any novice cook.
I'll happily make this again as it was full of flavour, but I'd have it under the grill a little less next time.
I'd love to check out the other recipes from this website to see if there is anything else I can make.

If you're interested in following the original recipe, then head over to the mob website onto the Garlic Bread Mac & Cheese recipe page
