I feel like such a bad B.A.P, I have to admit that I was more eager to get my hands on Yongguk and Zelo's albums than I was Dae Hyun's but I think that's mainly because I knew Dae Hyun's album would be more ballad based where as Yongguk's and Zelo's would have a mixture of rap, singing, uptempo and ballads. Once I finally got my hand on Dae Hyun's album I was blown away, everything about the album is perfection from the photo book to the songs on the album.
I remember being curious as to why his album was called Chapter 2 "27" and felt warmth from him when is said his solo debut is the 2nd chapter of his life and career with B.A.P being Chapter 1, which made me even more excited for his album as well as to see what the future holds for him.
I think Happy Dreams(Intro) really helps to showcase Dae Hyun's vocals and really helps you to start the 2nd chapter of Dae Hyun's career, it may sound odd but the song gives me a feeling of him saying farewell for now to the first chapter of his career as he steps into the spotlight alone which I bet was extremely scary for him.
Happy Dreams(Intro)
There something about the melody and Dae Hyun's voice in 너는 내게 (You're My), that just melts all my worries, I can only hope that one day I can hear him sing this song live, just to witness the pure emotion in his voice.
너는 내게 (You're My)
I get emotional K-drama feels from Empty and I love that it also features another vocalist, I'm not really familiar with Spectrum but Jae Han's vocals really compliment Dae Hyun's, there's a softness to Jae Han's voice that worked really well with the deepness within Dae Hyun's voice. I wouldn't say this is one of my favourite tracks on the album but it's a beautiful song all the same.
Empty (feat. Jae Han of Spectrum)
Out of the b-sides on the album I have to say my favourite has to be When You Call, it really shows that Dae Hyun is also good at singing more uptempo tracks, I love that this is the last sung song on the album as it gives the feeling of that no matter your worries, there is only one way you can really go and that's up. I can't help feel that this song is also for BABY's and him saying that because we've always been there for him he will also hold out his hand for us and guide us on our own journey's and face everything together.
When You Call

It sad to know that Dae Hyun had actually prepared this album while under TS Entertainment but never got to release it but I also think this is a good thing too, as I think it gave him more courage to go it alone. I thought it was really sad how people compared how Dae Hyun and Yongguk made their solo debut's. It was very clear that compared to Yongguk, Dae Hyun didn't have the financial backing that Yongguk did, hence why I think he turned to the people he trusted and cherished the most, his fans. From watching Dae Hyun's instagram posts over the past few years, one thing I've noticed is that whenever he posted he was posting to his fans, saying how much he loved and missed them, so I in no way think he was using his fans for money.
I look forward to seeing what's next in this chapter for Dae Hyun and I can't wait for him to return again.
