I'm back with another Japanese release from GOT7 and this time it's with their first Japanese mini album Hey Yah, which for me was a first, I've only known K-pop idols to release full length Japanese albums.

I only have two of GOT7's Japanese releases and out of the two, I'd have to say that Hey Yah is my favourite. I have the limited edition-Type A version, I picked it mainly because of the colours used, I thought it was bright and stood out more. I think you can always tell the difference between GOT7's Korean and Japanese releases as their Japanese tracks tend to be more hard hitting where their Korean tends to sound more chilled out even when it's hard hitting. I love that with this album each track sounds different but blends well together to make an amazing mini album. This mini album reminds me of their debut and makes me wonder if this is what they're Korean releases would sound if they never took over creative control. I'd have to say that two of my favourite tracks on Hey Yah is Let Me Know and Attention but overall it's an amazing mini album that has me wanting to keep it on repeat and dancing along to the tracks.

While I only own 2 of their Japanese releases, I have liked their latest Japanese releases since Hey Yah, all their most recent Japanese releases have all been missing Jackson as he for now sits out their Japanese albums.
Were you a fan of Hey Yah as a single?
Do you have a favourite track from the mini album?

See you soon!
