I'm back with another post on B.A.P, this time we're heading back to 2017, with B.A.P's 8th single album Ego, which is also their final release before all 6 members left TS Entertainment. On the 22nd of November 2017, it was announced that B.A.P was returning with their 8th single album.

Just 2 days later on the 13th of December 2017, the M/V for Hands Up was released, along with the physical and digital release of their 8th single album Ego.

Finally on the 22nd of December 2017, the Hands Up dance practice was released.

Bang Yongguk co-wrote on tracks Moondance and Think Hole.
Both Bang Yongguk and Zelo co-wrote on title track Hands Up.
Ego peaked at No.3 on the Gaon Albums Chart.

Through TS Entertainments official YouTube channel the M/V for Hands Up has gained 884,262 thousand views, while through YouTube channel 1theK the M/V has gained 5,760,703 million views, giving the M/V a total view count so far of 6,644,965 million views, with the views still continuing to increase.
Ego is set out in a hardback book style case and comes with Cd, photo book and random photo card.

Ego and Hands Up's concept really reminded me of old B.A.P, showing of their powerful bad boy image, it's sad that it was their final Korean release with Bang Yongguk leaving TS on October 18th 2018, Zelo's contract expired on the 2nd of December 2018 but he didn't officially leave TS until the 24th of December 2018, with him wanting to meet fans as B.A.P's Zelo one last time during their tour. Finally on the 18th of February 2019, Daehyun, Youngjae, Himchan and Jongup all left TS Entertainment, therefore putting B.A.P (for me) on an indefinite hiatus.
I think Hands Up was a great way to end B.A.P's journey for now, looking at the lyrics now it's like they knew that for now their time as B.A.P was at a close and they wanted to remind those who listened to their music to always rise up to continue to reach their dreams and that they would do so also.

MBCkpopThe main thing I love about Moondance, is Jongup and Youngjae's vocals, it's a given that I'm a big fan of Daehyun's vocals but I think this track suits Youngjae and Jongup that bit more, making their voices stand just that much more, my favourite part of the songs has to be the chorus, I love the chorus and also that sultry beat just after.

I would have to say that my favourite track from Ego has to be Think Hole, I love the beat of this song from start to finish and not one member stands out, they unite as one. This is definitely a song that I listen to often when I listen to B.A.P.

All of B.A.P are starting to branch out now with Yongguk, Daehyun, Youngjae and Zelo all making their solo debut's, and all taking different musical routes. As far as I'm aware Jongup has also been making new music and has done some shows with Daehyun but he's yet to release an album, which I'm excited for him to do. As for Himchan, he's facing legal issues right now so all we can do it sit back and see what the outcome is and whether the outcome ruins his chances to return. Both Yongguk and Himchan are due to start their military service soon so it will be strange not seeing anything about either of them.
