If you have a dog sometimes, the best and healthiest treats for them are the ones that you make yourself, because you know exactly whats in them. For a few years now, especially at Christmas, I bake biscuits for my dogs and I always use the same recipe, it's quick, easy and only uses a few ingredients.
Let's get baking!
Ingredients:
250 g wholemeal flour
1 tbsp baking powder
275 g unsalted natural peanut butter
225 ml skimmed milk
Start off by preheating the oven 190C/Gas Mark 5 and line baking trays with baking parchment paper.
Next stir together the flour and baking powder.
Next in a separate bowl, mix together the milk and peanut butter.
Next stir in the flour mixture, until it's formed a dough.
Next turn out the dough onto a lightly floured surface and knead until smooth, roll out the dough to about 1 cm thickness and then cut into shapes.
Place about 2 cm apart onto your baking trays, bake for 20 minutes, or until lightly browned, remove from baking trays and allow to cool.
My dogs always enjoy these biscuits. so I always enjoy baking them, knowing that there isn't anything nasty or unhealthy in them.

See you soon!
