It's time for another comeback with NCT 127, if you haven't then check out their last comeback with Limitless.
Cherry Bomb is the 3rd mini album from NCT 127, on the 25th of May this year (2017), SM Entertainment confirmed that NCT 127 would be making a comeback in June, SM then announced on the 5th of June, that the mini album would be titled Cherry Bomb.
On the 7th of June Teaser images were released of Taeyong, WinWin and Doyoung.
On the 8th of June Teaser images were released of Haechan, Jaehyun and Yuta.
On the 9th of June Teaser images were released of Taeil, Mark and Johnny.
On the 10th of June Teaser images were released of NCT 127 as a group.

On the 10th of June Cherry Bomb Teaser Clip #1 was released.

On the 14th of June NCT 127' 3rd mini album Cherry Bomb was released both digitally and physically along with the release of the M/V for their title track Cherry Bomb.

Pre-orders for Cherry Bomb reached 101,444 copies which exceeded both their previous mini albums NCT #127 and Limitless, within 24 hours of the M/V's released it reached 3 million views.
Promotions began on the 15th of June performing both Cherry Bomb and 0 Mile, KBS deemed Cherry Bomb unfit for broadcast due to mentions of violence, gory descriptions and more, standing their ground NCT 127 refused to alter the tracks lyrics and instead on Music Bank promoted with 0 Mile. Cherry Bomb won NCT 127 their 1st music show trophy, with them winning on M Countdown.
Both Taeyong and Mark participated on the album like their previous releases and helped to co-write on Cherry Bomb, Running 2 U, 0 Mile, Whiplash and Summer 127.
Cherry Bomb peaked at No.2 on the Gaon Albums Chart, No.18 on the Oricon Albums Chart, No.21 on the Billboard Heatseekers Albums Chart and No.2 on the Billboard World Albums Chart, Cherry Bomb also peaked at No.2 on the Gaon Albums Chart for the month of June.

The M/V for Cherry Bomb has so far gained 21,118,057 million views, with the views increasing each day.
The Cherry Bomb mini album is set out in a hardback book style case and follows the concept of both the teaser images and the M/V. The photo booklet is mixed in with the lyrics and the theme follows loading and error pages on both games consoles and computers, the album comes with a random photo card. Like Limitless lyrics are also translated into English, Japanese and Chinese.

Cherry Bomb - Performance Ver.
I had high expectations for this mini album as I've loved their past 2 mini albums from first listen and I wasn't disappointed, overall this is my favourite album from NCT 127, I love the tracks as well as the album layout, I love the colours used as well as the pictures. I love how in the last section of the pictures the new pictures overlap the previously shown pictures.
In all honesty like with 소방차 (Fire Truck), I wasn't a fan of Cherry Bomb on first listen but the track gradually grew on me and I listen to the Performance Version the most as I love the break down section. NCT 127 are one of those groups that prove that you don't need music show trophies to make great music and I will highly anticipate their next comeback for even more amazing tracks.

Since their last comeback NCT have revealed their fandom name to be NCTzen, basically meaning the fans are citizens of NCT, proving again that fans and idols are in it together and that without the fans the idols wouldn't be doing what they enjoy. Many NCT fans at the moment are waiting for that special announcement that NCT U will make a comeback and bring back Ten out from the shadows, NCT Dream have just had another comeback so here's hoping that our next NCT comeback announcement is for NCT U, but I have a feeling it may be following the same cycle of NCT 127 and then NCT Dream and repeat. My only reasoning as to why NCT U are yet to have a comeback is that they don't have a clear sound for them to release albums like there is for NCT 127 and NCT Dream.
