The first unknown teaser for NCT 127's return happened at the beginning of December 2016 when on the 5th of December a dance collaboration was released between NCT 127 members Yuta, Taeyong, Jaehyun, Mark & Win Win, W Korea and Esteem Models with the track Good Thing.

Their 2nd mini album Limitless was released digitally first on the 6th of January with it being released physically on the 9th of January, promotions started on music show M! Countdown on the 5th of January, they also held their first fansign for Limitless on the 12th of January.

Both Taeyong and Mark helped to co-write Good Thing and Angel, they also helped to co-write and co-compose 나쁜 짓 (Baby Don't Like It).
Taeyong also co-wrote Back 2 U (AM 01:27).

Title track 무한적아 (Limitless) peaked at No.4 on the Billboard World Digital Songs Chart, their mini album Limitless peaked at No.1 on the Gaon Weekly Albums Chart, No.1 on the Billboard Weekly World Albums Chart and peaked at No.4 on the Billboard Heatseekers Albums Chart. Limitless also peaked at No.2 on the Gaon Monthly Albums Chart for January, as of January 2017 Limitless had sold 77,417 thousand physical copies.
Limitless Rough Version M/V has 4,225,498 million views, while the Limitless Performance Version has 8,654,940 million views so far which both increase on a daily basis.

Limitless was released in 3 versions, version A, version B and version C. All 3 versions come in the same envelope case with just the sticker on the packaging changing for each version. Each version comes with A LOT of stickers, 9 full body member stickers, 9 member head stickers and lots more of other random stickers, some of the stickers vary in each case. Each version comes with a different photo set that contains 10 pictures 9 individual member photos and 1 group shot all with the Limitless logo on the reverse which each member did their own personalisation of on the reverse. The rest of the items inside are all the same in each version minus each version also having a post card at random of either an individual member or members together. Each version also comes with a random member folded poster.

Track List:
無限的我 (무한적아; Limitless)
Good Thing
Back 2 U (AM 01:27)
롤러코스터 (Heartbreaker)
Baby Don't Like It (나쁜 짓)
Angel

I have version A of the Limitless album and I can't say it's the best Cd packaging I've received so far, it's basically an envelope made out of thin card with everything just stuffed inside it. I have no idea why they stuck so many stickers in there as they're all not really needed, other than the packaging everything else is is pretty awesome. I love the photo set with their individual personalised logos, I love how the lyrics booklet is set out with the lyrics showing in Korean as well as translated in Japanese, Chinese and English which I think is a good move from SM Entertainment to appeal more to their international fanbases. I think the best thing about this album is the track list, each track is amazing and sounds different from the last, so far NCT 127 are yet to release an album or track that would leave me underwhelmed, which can only mean that SM Entertainment is doing good by them, if I had to recommend an album to start off with for NCT 127 it would be their Limitless album; don't believe me then check out how amazing their 2nd mini album is right now.

NCT 127 are a group I think are the ones to watch, they may not be winning music show awards yet but I think they will be the next big boy group from SM Entertainment and I have high hopes for them as well as the other sub-unit groups, I just hope they let the current sub-unit groups find their feet before they start adding new people and new units otherwise I don't think their plan will work.

Which NCT 127 comeback is your favourite?
