It's Monday again, which means it's another dose of K-pop and this week we're revisiting Girls Generations sub unit group TaeTiSeo and their second mini album Holler!
Two years after the sub unit's debut SM Entertainment announced the comeback of Girls Generation-TTS, with their comeback it was also announced that they would also get their own reality show titled The TaeTiSeo, the show would follow the girls during their preparation to their comeback stages and all things in between. Sadly promotions were cut short for this comeback when it was announced that Jessica was no longer a member of the group.
The album debuted at no.1 in South Korea, several other Asian countries and on the Billboard World Albums, this made TTS the third Korean artist, and the first female artist to have more than one number 1 on this chart, the first being with their debut release Twinkle. In an interview with Billboard the girls started that this album was really personal for them and that it was fun. The girls even got more input with the album with SeoHyun writing the lyrics to one of the songs titled 'Only U', while Tiffany was involved on the fashion side being the visual director. In Korea the album sold 87,886 copies.
As expected to keep the hype and the excitement SM released a teaser for the MV, and so should the excitement stay as the teaser was proof that the MV and track was going to be amazing. Check it out below.

The Lead single if you didn't get it from the teaser of this posts title was Holler! in my personal opinion I thought this song was miles better than their debut Twinkle, it showed off the girls vocally as well as visually. The MV is brightly coloured which keeps your interest from start to finish, all the styling is on top too (to be expected from Tiffany). This was also the first time our Maknae SeoHyun stood out for me and she has since become part of my favourite 3 members. Like previous albums I have shared with you Holler is set out like a hardback book, with both the CD and booklet found inside, the case itself is white with burgundy writing and border with a stunning shot of the girls on the front and back. The burgundy theme is shown throughout the booklet, even the CD is burgundy with a white entwined TTS. The styling for me is one of the best I've seen for any GG release following a summer/autumn trend. All three of the girls looked stunning in each outfit and I loved that they were in outfits that no matter your price bracket you could easily replicate. I think the theme of the pictures really went with the sound of the album, showing a mature but sultry look and sound. There is an all white look which to me is to show they still have a youthful innocence, a denim jean and gypsy style top look, showing off their amazing figures, a t-shirt and dungaree's look giving them another youthful fun look, then the direction changes to giving them a mature but sexy look which to me is some of my favourite pictures from the booklet and lastly to end the booklet they return to an all white look which I think gives a more sultry feel than the first pictures. This is without a doubt my favourite TTS mini album, the whole album from start to finish shows how the girls are growing not only vocally but visually. For me this was the first time I stopped looking at SeoHyun as the baby of the group and realising that like the rest of her members she was growing into a stunning woman, that was throwing sex appeal in every direction.

There are no singular stand out track for me on this album as they are all amazing songs so I'm going to share them all with you, but first let me give you a little run down of the tracks, Holler: is an upbeat track with some intense vocals and a track that is worlds apart from Twinkle. 아드레날린 (Adrenaline): is another upbeat track that left many fans wanting more and left some fans divided suggesting that this should have been the lead single especially after they performed it. 내가 네게 (Whisper): is a mid-tempo track that to me screams sultry, it's a song which I think gave the girls the chance to show they're not the sweet and cute 'gee' girls anymore but mature women. Stay: is another upbeat track that has a little rap from Tiffany, to me this song has a beach/summer feel to it. Only U: this song is a ballad wrote by SeoHyun herself and as soon as I heard it I was in love with this song, I also the love the line distribution for this song as even though it was SeoHyun's song she didn't hog the limelight for the lines and they were equally given to the girls, but she obviously gets the opening line. EYES: this song got a lot of remarks from Ariane Grande fans as it's similar to her song Problem but it's still an amazing song even though this one did take me a while to get into, but I do have to say my favourite part of this song is TaeYeon's 'Uh' just before the chorus hits.
