Girls Generation: The First Japanese Album & Repackaged

Hello
An nyoung
Konnichiwa
Ni hao

So we're here again it's K-pop Monday! but this week it has a twist it's J-pop (Japanese pop music). Back in 2010 Girls Generation embarked on their Japanese music career by releasing Japanese versions of Genie and Gee, both Genie and Gee got a change of scene when it came to the MV'S.
The Japanese MV for Genie shows the girls appear from a Genie's lamp into a small circus tent where they keep the military theme the MV also features the girls playing Genie for Chanyeol of EXO.

The MV for Gee keeps the store theme but changes the girls from mannequins to sales assistants and has the girls swooning over and wanting to dress SHINee's Minho (he is the store owner in the Korean MV) the clothing style is also kept to the original MV with jeans and white T-shirt and also the innocent girl next door chic look.

April 2011 saw the release of an original Japanese release for the group Mr.Taxi along with Run Devil Run reworked into Japanese.
Mr.Taxi seems them styled in American taxi coloured outfits with knee high boots and leather biker style catsuits, there isn't really a theme to the MV it just shoes them in their in sync dance routines.

Run Devil Run kept the same style MV as it's Korean counterpart with a change up of styling but keeping the bad girl black soshi look.

June saw the release of their first Japanese album including original Japanese tracks along with previous Korean songs reworked into Japanese, celebrating the success of their album an MV was released for their song Bad Girl, giving the girls a bad girl rock chick style and featured them dancing in a dark parking garage to add to the atmosphere.

My version of their first Japanese album is just a normal edition and looks like your usual western release with normal plastic cd case with lyric booklet. The theme for the album seemed to be an all white theme with each of the girls looking gorgeous.

December saw the release of their first Japanese repackaged album with their song The Boys reworked into Japanese a new ballad Time Machine and remixed tracks of Bad Girl and The Great Escape. March 2012 saw the release of the MV for Time Machine. The MV for Time Machine was a first for the girls as it was the first MV that had more of an acting role for the girls and the first MV that was shot with the girls separately, featuring rain, snow, tears and sadness this is one of my favourite GG ballads.

The repackaged album was a little more high end than the first album as it came in a fold out case featuring CD & DVD with a photo and lyric booklet and it all comes in a slipcase with a fashion theme.
