It's time for another group that I found this year and it was all down to watching music programmes M Countdown and Music Bank, with a member being a presenter for the latter.
LABOUM are a 5 member (was 6 members till recently) girl group, they made their debut in 2014 under NH Media and Nega Network's joint venture Global H Media, the groups name is taken from the French term meaning "The Party".

Miss This Kiss is LABOUM'S 2nd mini album, on the 15th of March 2017, LABOUM'S agency confirmed that the group was preparing for a comeback in April , then from April 10 teasers started being released.
On April 12th the 2nd Mini Album - Live Practice was released.

On the 13th of April the M/V teaser was released for their title track Hwi Hwi.

On the 14th of April the 2nd Mini Album "Miss This Kiss" Highlight Medley was released.

On the 17th of April Miss This Kiss was released both digitally and physically with the M/V for Hwi Hwi being released the same day.

On the 24th of April the Hwi Hwi Performance M/V was released.

On the 4th of May the Hwi Hwi Dance Practice (Eye Contact Ver.) was released.

On the 7th of May the Hwi Hwi Dance Practice was released.
Promotions began on the 18th of April on The Show and continuing for a few weeks, Hwi Hwi brought LABOUM their first win on Music bank, their win caused controversy and raised suspicion as viewers expected IU would win as Palette was dominating charts. The album sales of over 28,000 copies was also questioned, as it was 30 times more than their last albums sales. The groups agency denied the accusations and clarified that an endorsement deal caused the boost in sales since the company (that made the deal with them) had bought copies for giveaways at events. The agency then threatened legal action against those spreading rumours about the group.
Miss This Kiss peaked at No.1 on the Gaon Albums Chart.

The M/V for Hwi Hwi has so far gained 2,732,048 million views, with the views increasing each day.
The album is set out in a box case and comes with the Cd, photobook and a random member booklet/card. Styling for the photobook follows the Hwi Hwi M/V as well as a few other styles.

I got into LABOUM by seeing them promote their song Shooting Love, looking back at it now I don't think I realised that it was LABOUM, I just thought the song was catchy and thought nothing else of it. I was already familiar with Solbin as I watch her present on Music Bank. From the first listen I was in love with Hwi Hwi and was really debating whether I wanted to buy the album that it was promoting, I watched an unboxing which made me make up my mind and buy it and I'm so glad that I did. From start to finish Miss This Kiss is an amazing album, I love all the tracks, they're all different and the vocals are amazing. For a group that has often done fan funding, you wouldn't think that was the case with the quality of the album layout, styling, pictures and track list. I definitely think the booklet is one of my favourites to be released this year, the pictures are stunning, I love the styling and I love the colours used.

It was sad to hear that Yulhee had decided she no longer wanted to be apart of the entertainment industry and that she had left both the group and the company. I still look forward to LABOUM'S future to see what they have in store for us next.
