Like many drama's before, there are songs from the OST that take me right back into the emotional scenes of the drama.
Hero (Produced by Primary) - Meego

Brass Knuckle - Boi B

Homesick (Produced by Primary) - Benzamin

Self - Meego

Again - Han

Yoon Si Eun is among the top 1% of students in his class and is not interested in anything except studying. Though physically weak, he does not back own from the bullies in his classroom led by Jeon Yeong Bin, using his quick decision making skills, knowledge of multiple subjects, and the objects in his surroundings, Si Eun protects himself from their escalating acts of violence. But when he gets grave danger, he receives help from Ahn Suho, the strongest fighter in their class, and Oh Beom Seok, the tormented son of an assemblyman.
The 3 become friends as they try to survive a highschool life full of violence and learn what it truly means to be strong

I decided to watch this on a whim when I saw it was coming to Netflix. I'd actually gotten it confused with Duty After School, which I'm glad I did because I was hooked from the very first episode.
I loved the whole cast and plot, while some of the violence made me feel a little uncomfortable but I think it just proved how amazing the plot and script really was.
I personally think if I'd watched this drama when it was originally released with would have been one of my favourites for that year. I was lucky watching it when I did as it meant I only had a a few weeks before season 2 was being released on Netflix.
I honestly don't think they could have put together a better ensemble for the cast, they were all amazing in their roles.

I want to say was familiar with Park Jihoon before watching this drama but I'd only watched a couple of episodes of Love Revolution but that was because I knew THE BOYZ member Younghoon was in it. His face was familiar to me when it came to drama's but it wasn't till I was looking up on his career that I realised he was a member of Wanna One that I  listen to as well as that I listening to some of his solo songs as well. But I absolutely loved him as Yeon Si Eun, I don't think anyone else could pull off this character as well as he did. He's such a talented actor that I regret not continuing with Love Revolution, they way he expressed himself in this drama was pure perfection.
I loved Choi Hyun Wook as Ahn Suho, this is my first time watching him and I can honestly say I'd love to check out more of the drama's he's in. Suho is a very laid back character and keeps himself to himself, but will stand in and stand up for those in need. But because he's so carefree with those in his life it does cause some jealousy.
I loved Hong Kyung as Oh Beom Seok, not being familiar with the webtoon, I knew nothing of his character so, I was surprised with how Beom Seok changed. His jealousy when it comes to Suho and Young Yi's friendship, made me question whether it was because he was attracted to him or not. But the more we saw Beom Seok, the more I think it was because I think he was just jealous of Suho and wished he was more like him. Beom Seok comes from an abusive adoptive family and even though he hated how his adoptive father treated him, you could see him rubbing off on him without he wanted to bring Suho down. I'd love to see his character again to see if his way of thinking has changed and to see if he was truly remorseful for his actions towards Suho, or if he just felt guilty towards Si Eun. Also you know he did an amazing job because I went from adoring him wanting them all to be friends to absolutely loathing him.
I adored Lee Yeon as Young Yi, she really did her role justice and I loved how she wasn't afraid to call out people who were in the wrong. You can tell she has a strong justice to protect those in her life and was willing and wanting to change her life around.
I think Shin Seung Ho did a good job as Jeon Seok Dae, it seems for him as long as the price is right he will do anything, but he does have a softer side to him that will help those close to him.
I think Kim Su Gyeom did a good job as Jeon Young Bin, he's the typical bully that thinks he can get away with anything because he has money and power behind him. He doesn't change throughout the drama and I don't think he's a character that would ever change, he's definitely very entitled and his parents have allowed him to become like that.
I think Na Chul as Kim Gil Soo is one of those roles that you obviously hate the character because he did such a good job in his role. He's a typical gangster that thinks the law is above him and will do anything to get what he wants, even if that means taking down some school kids. He definitely thinks he's above everyone and manipulates all those that work for him so that they have no choice but to do as he says.
This is my second time watching Cha Woo Min and he played a baddie so good, I loved him as Kang Woo Young. His main goal is to take Suho down a peg or two, but doesn't take responsibility or stop everyone when it starts going too far.

I definitely recommend this drama, it kept me watching throughout. I watched all 8 episodes in one sitting. I laughed, cringed, got mad and cried, it's definitely a drama that takes you on a rollercoaster ride of emotions.
It has such a clever way of showing Si Eun's fight scenes and how he works out what he'll do and how he'll accomplish his goal of beating the other person. This drama also made me look at pen's differently due to Si Eun.
If you haven't yet, I suggest you get stuck into the world of Yeon Si Eun and Weak Hero Class.
