Manga Madness: Attack On Titan - No Regrets

Hello
An nyoung

Ni hao

I spoke to you before in an earlier post about Attack On Titan and how amazing I think both the manga and anime is, but this post we're exploring the series prequel for one of my favourite characters: Levi Ackerman. Captain Levi is one of AOT top polled characters and if you've seen the anime or read the manga you will be either thinking why or like me he's top of your list.
AOT - No Regrets was wrote by Gun Snark and illustrated by Hikaru Suruga and based on the visual novel A Choice With No Regrets. It follows Levi Ackerman and how he became to be a part of the Survey Corps. The spin off was serialized in the Shojo Manga Magazine Aria, the demand for the prologue chapter was so high that the magazine's print count was increased by 500%. As of April 2014 the first volume had a total print of 500,000 copies, it's original run started September 28th 2013 - June 28th 2014, there is only two volumes in this manga prequel.

Levi is one of the characters whose age has never really been revealed just guessed, creator Hajime Isayama has only said that he is definitely older than 30, with people guessing him to be at least 34 when the the main manga starts. A younger Levi was a criminal living in the underground city with two others and were described as a band of thieves, they used the famous Vertical Manoeuvring Equipment to commit their crimes. Levi caught the eye of a young Erwin Smith who then wanted him to be part of the scouts because of his skills.
Levi is described as humanity's most powerful soldier and is the lead of an elite squad in the Survey Corps, he is known to be a bit of a clean freak, it is also said that he is blunt and unapproachable, where in the main manga he has a strong respect for authority, structure and discipline the spin off series shows off a different side to him.

I guessed the outcome of the No Regrets manga but knowing the main Attack on Titan manga it's pretty obvious how it would end for some of the characters. It's really easy to read and follow and I enjoyed getting to know another side of Levi.

See you soon!
